Our Story

Four friends,
one coast, one dream.

The four of them grew up together in San Benedetto del Tronto, a fishing town on the Adriatic coast of Le Marche, Italy. They have known each other since they were teenagers. Long before they knew anything about running a restaurant, they knew the taste of fresh caught fish and the way a table full of food brings people together.

San Benedetto del Tronto is home to one of Italy's largest fish markets. The sea there is not a backdrop, it is the whole point. Growing up in that town means growing up with an instinct for seafood, for simplicity, for cooking that does not need to perform. That sensibility never left them.

Over the years, their paths took them through different kitchens, different cities, different countries. But the passion for hospitality, for honest food, and for the flavors of the Adriatic coast always stayed at the center. AMO is what happens when that passion finds the right place.

"Amo" means "I love" in Italian. It also means "fishhook." For them, it means both.
